I am delighted to welcome you to the Hartland High School website.
We are proud to have recently joined the Greenshaw Learning Trust, a supportive and collaborative ‘family’ of like-minded schools. Together, we share best practices, provide mutual support, and continuously learn from one another, all while nurturing and developing the unique character of our school.
At Hartland High School, our dedicated staff, in partnership with the Greenshaw Learning Trust, are fully committed to helping every student achieve their full potential — both now and in the future. We hold high expectations for our students because we believe they deserve every opportunity to excel academically and grow personally. We follow our key mantra of 'work hard and be kind' to underpin all interactions and choices we make.
Exciting changes lie ahead for the academy, and we are confident that these developments will bring significant benefits to our students, staff, and the wider community. Our vision is for Hartland High School to become a truly successful and inspirational school, and we look forward to working with you as we embark on this journey together.

Following student feedback, we've updated our PE kit for incoming students. We love this new design! EDIT: now updated with the correct PE kit as well as the new football kit which students will use for football fixtures (sorry for the confusion!) No students are required to change from old kit to new kit while their old kit still fits, but any students buying new or replacement kit will be able to buy the new design Year 7 and 8 students will need kit for their first day, Thursday 3rd September. Communication has gone home about this. Please don't panic if you haven't got kit sorted yet - just bring something you can be active in or we have kit to lend All other students who need kit for lessons on their first days back will be emailed. It's: - Year 11s on Friday - Year 9s on Monday and Year 11 GCSE students on Monday All details about kit are in the community guide or on the website.

It's been a busy summer for the site team, with lots of upgrades to the school - including new carpets! Don't they look smart?
The countdown is on! A reminder about return to school dates: - Thursday 3rd September is Years 7 and 8 - Friday 4th September is Years 7, 8 and 11 - Monday 7th September is all students We can't wait

So proud of this cohort and their excellent results: Attainment 8 up More students passing both English and maths Proportion of 4+, 5+ and 7+ grades all up Disadvantaged students perform very nearly as well as their non-disadvantaged peers, bucking national trends Overall school performance demonstrating a very strong improvement trajectory We love our school and we love our community.
