Hartland High School

Welcome to sixth form

At Hartland High School Sixth Form we have two key mantras which guide every area of our work:

We lead by example in everything that we do.

This means that Sixth Form students are supported in taking on leadership roles across the school and developing the skills and knowledge and kindness which will enable them to become successful here and in the future.

We are University ready at Hartland High School.

This means that we run a series of visits and activities alongside different universities to support all our students in their future applications and progression to higher education.

There is also a broad offer of enrichment, both on Wednesday afternoons and during social times.

We are extremely proud of all our students who graduate from our sixth form to achieve further successes; whether that be attaining a place at a top UK university, gaining employment, accessing apprenticeships, achieving sports scholarships or making it in full-time sport.

Our prestigious performance sport is another key component of our success in the sixth form. We have been incredibly successful over recent years and the provision attracts youngsters with exceptional aptitude from the local area and beyond. We organise our curriculum so that students on these programmes have the same access to the broad curriculum offer that their peers receive while also supporting their performance development.
