Students make their GCSE choices at Hartland High School in about February of Year 9. These are the optional subjects that they will study at GCSE level, during Years 10 and 11. All students study English literature, English language, Science (worth two GCSEs) and maths, as well as non-examined PE and PSHE. Students then select from a range of options as set out in the Options Guide linked below. To support with this process, we run an Options Evening for Year 9 students and their families in February.
